Bok Tower Gardens boasts one of the greatest works of famed landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. The meandering, historic landscape garden was designed to be a contemplative and informal woodland setting offering a series of romantic recesses and tranquil resting spots, picturesque vistas and breathtaking views of the Singing Tower.
The Singing Tower - a 205-foot neo-Gothic and art deco Singing Tower houses one of the world’s finest carillons. Concerts from the 60-bell carillon at 1 and 3 p.m. fill the Gardens daily.

Bok Tower Gardens is about an hour and a half drive from Tampa. It's an easy drive and well worth the trip. In addition to the the grounds, trails and Carillon you'll find 126 different species of birds and it is a designated site on the Florida Birding Trail. The gopher tortoise is in residence as well as the endangered eastern indigo snake. Plan to spend all day or at least a few hours to experience it all. In the Visitor Center you'll find the Blue Palmetto Cafe for lunch or just a snack as well as exhibits tracing Edward Bok's life as well as the history and development of the Singing Tower.  and Gardens. The 20 room Pinewood Estate on the property is the former "retreat" of  Charles Austin Buck, a Bethlehem Steel vice president. Built in the 1930's it is also open for tours.
